Bookbinding
Yesterday I made a 10-signature softback bound book with a spine. The signatures (in this case, four sheets of paper folded to make one signature) are bound together using a herringbone stitch and a kettle stitch. The the spine is glued with jade glue, then Japanese tissue paper glued over. After that, a strip of the cover material followed by the soft cover. The excess cover material is then trimmed off and the book is complete! (excuse the quality of the first two images, they were taken on my phone.)
