Four months in New York are over. I have had the most incredible time and have learnt a huge amount while studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Manhattan is an amazing place to live, even for a short time and I have left with some wonderful friends. I'm excited to start back at Chelsea and will put my new skills to work. Hopefully it won't be too long 'til I'm back in the Big Apple.
The Last Night in New York City
Letterpress
On the penultimate day in New York City, Joe and I went back down to Fulton Street to a letterpress called Bowne & Co. Stationers, a part of the South Street Seaport Museum. The shop looks just like it did in the late 1870s and we had a good look around at the prints and presses. We both bought a couple of beautiful prints which will I hope to frame and hang when back in London.
After purchasing prints, we took the subway up to 14th street where we lost our Taco Bell virginity. It was quite delicious, actually.

Katz's
On one of the last days in New York, Joe, Don and I had a day out beginning in Williamsburg. We took the subway to Bedford Avenue then walked over Williamsburg Bridge and went for lunch at the famous Katz's Deli. Williamsburg Bridge is magnificent, now my favourite bridge in New York with spectacular views all over Manhattan.
We went to Katz's Deli in Alphabet City for pastrami sandwiches at lunch. $15 a pop so we shared a couple between the three of us.
We ended the day at the Bodies Exhibition on Fulton Street. Unfortunately no photography was allowed but I can say that it's definitely worth going to.
